Seawaves, a group company of Caravel, handled Container Stevedoring for Bengal Tiger Line vessels operating between Chennai and Singapore. While doing container stevedoring at Chennai Port prior to privatization of the container terminal, we had handled 25 containers per hour on BTL vessels.

Prior to privatization of the container terminal where Berth Reservation Scheme was operational, we take credit for being in charge of yard management for Bengal Tiger Line.

Seawaves was awarded as the best stevedore for handling highest containers per shift at Chennai Port. Seawaves was awarded for the best stack management service at Chennai Port. Seawaves Shipping has received the best Container Stevedores Award for handling containers to the tune of 2.25 lakh teus per annum. We have handled 100,000 MT of Gypsum, 35,000 MT of coal as well as rice at the Chennai Port while giving the highest productivity in terms of load and discharge rates in Metric Tonne up to 5000 tonne per working day.
